Pricing and Specifications:
All Goods in this catalogue are subject to being unsold and alteration in price or specification without prior notice. Value Added Tax is not included in the price list and will be charged at the appropriate rate on invoice (goods plus carriage and handling). Certain items are allowable for zero VAT rating. Charities and private individuals may benefit from this provided the relevant VAT Zero Rate Certificate is completed and the goods are allowable for zero rating by H.M. Customs and Excise. Certificates are available from SmitCare on request.
Measurements and Weights: Where stated are approximate and are not meant to be exact.
Copyrights where applicable are shown.
Carriage & handling: Orders over ?150 (nett value) carriage paid U.K. mainland only except postcodes as listed in Appendix 1 below where carriage charges attract 100% surcharge. Orders with a goods value below ?150 will be subject to the following charges to cover carriage administration and packing - U.K. Mainland ?7.50 (see Appendix 1 below) - Northern Ireland at cost (minimum ?7.50). It is an H.M. Customs requirement that VAT is charged on Carriage/Handling. All other countries and off-shore islands (including Channel Islands and Isle of Man), ex-warehouse at cost.
Forwarding: By a National Carrier or by Post at our discretion. Next day service available at ?14.50 for 1st carton plus ?4.50 per carton thereafter U.K. mainland only (see Appendix 1 below). N.B. This charge is applicable irrespective of order value and should be arranged by 12 noon on day of despatch.
Goods are normally despatched within 5 working days from receipt of order and delivered within the next 5 days. (However for small private orders please allow up to 28 days during busy periods).
Payment: Approved credit accounts nett 30 days from date of invoice.
Appendix 1: Postcodes where 100% surcharge applies: HS1-9, IV1-49,51-56, KA27-28, KW1-3,5-17, PA20-49,60-78, PH17-26,30-44, ZE1

Receipt of Goods:
All packages must be checked on arrival for damage and appropriately signed for. Should there be cause to raise a claim our offices must be notified within 24 working hours of the delivery. Carriers will not consider claims outside these parameters. Should examination not be possible on receipt, goods should be signed for unexamined or refused.
All Claims must be notified by telephone and confirmed in writing as follows within 3 days. This is vitally important as any claim is made on the purchasers' behalf.
Booked Deliveries If customers require deliveries booked-in there will be a charge levied in addition to applicable carriage charges at carriers cost.
Damage: Any parcels must be signed for as above. If you are unable to check the contents on delivery the consignment must be signed for as 'unexamined' and any damage notified within 24 hours.
Discrepancy: Shortages on delivery must be notified within 3 days of delivery.
Loss: Non-delivery of goods must be notified within 10 days of Invoice/Advice Note date.
Returns: Please telephone our Customer Services Department should you wish to return goods. We reserve the right to charge a handling fee of 10% on goods ordered in error. N.B. Goods will only be eligible for credit provided they are in re-saleable condition. Return of wrongly ordered goods is at the expense of the customer.

When delivery date/time is requested, we will endeavour to notify customers accordingly.
This may not be possible when a contracted national carrier is used.
